Creating a little at a time....

I have desperately needed to get back to my creative soul, so, a little at a time, I have begun working on small pieces.  I thought I'd share these with you.
Using an advertisement from a 1930s magazine I picked up an an estate sale, I collaged pieces of the written word, then used image transfer to add PT Barnum's pictureI love how the circus tent sides turned out!

I had printed this image onto blue paper a while back.  After applying the collaged textured papers, I thought it would look lovely transferred atop - and I believe it does.  It makes me think of the balancing act this life seems to be.

Time Out from the Hurry, Hurry, Rush, Rush!

Yesterday, Christy Sobolewski and Katie Kelly came over for "art night" - which included food, fun, mess, and three collaged art pieces  - all in 4 1/2 hours!  We each started a piece, then passed it to our left, so that each artist could add to the original piece.  Here are some of the before, during, and after photos, taken with my iPhone:

Our glorious mess!

Katie and Christy!

My before (the part I did before passing it on).
My after - I adore it!  It couldn't be more perfect for me!

Katie's during (her work with mine added).

Katie's after, with Christy's work.

Christy's final.

I want to do it again!

More bags - and sales!

I'm posting photos of two more of my market bags.....and preparing 4 for shipping to my dear friend, Teri, in Wyoming! It was fun to pick the red one pictured on the right, above, just for her! I'm sneaking in a smaller bag in appreciation of her friendship and support, which I am so grateful for. I think I'll try to set up a table at the Green Market in two weeks; I'd better check into that!
